St. Matthew Parish in Mount Vernon will hold Oktoberfest in the parish parking lot from 6 p.m. to 1 p.m. CDT on Oct. 7. All adults ages 21 and over are welcome. Tickets are $15 per person, and include entrance to the event, one adult beverage or soda, and live music from "The Caleb Cook Band." A “cub special” also is available for $40, which includes entrance for two, six drink tickets and two beer steins while supplies last. OkBeer, wine, Azzip pizza and the Lunch Box food truck also will offer food and beverages for purchase. This is NOT included in your ticket. There will be nine big raffles and one special raffle offered throughout the evening. Tickets for the big raffles are $1 each, six for $5 or 25 for $20. Prizes include 1. Sweethearts Quilt 94x104; 2. Pelican 80 Qt. Elite Wheeled Cooler; 3. Alles Bros. Furniture – choice of 3 items or $300 gift certificate; 4. $200 in scrip cards; 5. Dimaggios Pizza - one free xl 3 topping pizza x 1 year; 6. MK purse and wallet; 7. Booz Basket; 8. Metal artwork from Gottman Electric; and 9. Goliath Gotek 50 Portable basketball goal. Tickets for a special raffle also will be available for $20 each. The prize package includes four tickets to ICE at Opryland in Nashville, Tenn., and a one-night stay at the Opryland Hotel – with a Vera Bradley overnight bag & makeup case.
