Stewards Of God's Grace Now At $34 Million
Pledges to the Stewards of God’s Grace combined campaign stand above $34 million as of July 31. The Message is publishing an updated list of pledges received with this report.
Stewards of God’s Grace is the first-ever diocesan-wide fundraising campaign; its design enabled parishes and the diocese to use a revenue-sharing model throughout the campaign.
Money retained by parishes is funding major projects each parish identified. Money retained by the diocese will used to establish new endowments through the Catholic Foundation of Southwestern Indiana, and to support a variety of diocesan programs.
Even though the campaign has exceeded it goal by more than $12 million, the model for the use of funding has not changed. In order to honor donor intent, all funds the diocese receives above the stated goal will be distributed in the same proportions as originally outlines in the Stewards of God’s Grace campaign brochure:
- 30 percent – Seminarians and priests.
- 30 percent – Catholic education and faith formation for youth, young adults and others.
- 30 percent – Catholic Charities programing and social enterprise program.
- 10 percent – Energy efficient windows for chancery offices and a portion of funds for Cathedral renovation.
Following are the updated totals for each parish in the diocese.
